Backend DevOps

We are seeking a full-time Backend DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will ensure our iGaming ecosystem can handle millions of transactions and real-time interactions with high availability (24/7), robust monitoring, and rapid scalability. Your work will bridge development and operations, enabling smooth releases, optimal system performance, and continuous improvement across our backend services.

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems that support millions of transactions and real-time interactions across our iGaming ecosystem with high availability (24/7). 

In this role, you’ll be hands-on with development, automation, and deployment tasks, ensuring alignment with best practices and architectural goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support continuous operation and exceptional system performance. 

Your work will directly impact the functionality, resilience, scalability, and availability of our platform. 

You will also contribute to architectural discussions, project execution, and operational improvements to support ongoing innovation and business growth. As part of the DevOps team, you’ll help foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence across the department. 

Essential Job Tasks

  • Contribute to backend architecture discussions to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of systems. 

  • Work with architects and senior engineers to implement architectural strategies aligned with long-term technical goals.

  • Maintain and support software deployments across multiple locations and environments. 

  • Create, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability of deployments. 

  • Ensure high availability, observability, and reliability of services through effective monitoring and alerting. 

  • Plan and execute system updates and upgrades in collaboration with relevant teams. 

  • Participate in troubleshooting and incident response to quickly resolve issues and maintain system uptime. 

  • Contribute to project reporting and documentation as needed, including tracking of resource usage. 

  • Support the development and optimization of database schemas and queries to maintain performance and scalability. 

  • Work with DBAs and backend developers to apply best practices in data management and indexing strategies. 

  • Contribute to load testing, performance profiling, and identification of system bottlenecks. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and ensure optimal system performance. 

  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful software delivery. 

  • Represent the DevOps perspective in technical discussions and planning sessions. 

  • Support knowledge sharing within the team through documentation and collaboration

Skills and Qualifications

Education: 
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 

Experience: 
5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining production systems. 
Experience in high-traffic, high-availability environments is highly valued. 

Preferred Industries: 
Previous experience in iGaming, fintech, or large-scale online platforms is a plus
