Status of privacy policy: October 2022

  1. Cookies
This website uses "cookies" to make our service more user-friendly, effective and secure.

A "cookie" is a small text file that we transfer via our web server to the cookie file of the browser on the hard drive of your computer. This enables our website to recognize you as a user when a connection is established between our web server and your browser. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website. The content of the cookies we use is limited to an identification number that no longer allows any personal reference to the user. The main purpose of a cookie is to recognize visitors to the website.
Two types of cookies are used on this website:

    • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave our website and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.

    • Persistent cookies: For a better user experience, cookies remain stored on your device and allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

  2. Server log files
In order to optimize this website in terms of system performance, user-friendliness and the provision of useful information about our services, the website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes your internet protocol address (IP address), browser and language settings, operating system, referrer URL, your internet service provider and date/time.
We do not combine this data with personal data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

  3. Google services
This website uses Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The data obtained from this analysis is used to optimize the website and advertising measures. Google Analytics is a web analytics service operated and provided by Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Data is thus sent to an unsafe third country according to the GDPR. Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and is contractually committed to measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data. This data is transferred to a Google server in the USA. Google observes the data protection provisions of the "EU-US Privacy Shield" agreement.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID with which can be recognized on future website visits.

The website uses cookies to collect, process and store personal data via Google conversion tracking. For this purpose, an AV agreement has been concluded with Google and your IP address is anonymized. You can object to the collection of data by Google Services (Google Analytics, Google Conversion Tracking) at any time by accessing the cookie settings above and deactivating "Analytical cookies".

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form indefinitely.

If you do not agree to the collection of data, you can prevent it by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics once: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

  4. Social media buttons
The browser of an internet visitor can display content from various sources that are embedded in a website, such as photos, videos, news feeds or even the "Like" button from Facebook. A reference to an external content is thus set on this website. If the visitor's browser encounters such a link, it requests the content from the third party provider and inserts it into the display of the website at the desired location. For this purpose, the browser transmits the IP address of the visitor's computer and the technical information of the browser to the server of the third-party provider so that the server can determine in which format the content is to be delivered to which address. In addition, the browser also transmits information about the desired content. The operator embedding the third-party content on its website cannot influence which information the browser transmits and what the third-party provider does with this information, in particular whether it stores and evaluates it. The visitor expressly consents to this process.

  5. Communication by e-mail

When communicating by e-mail, please take your own precautions to ensure the confidentiality of the content. If you do not inform us of any other form of reply, we will assume that we can also send you an e-mail at the same address. We are not liable for any damage caused by such communication.

  6. Your rights
With regard to your data stored by us, you are generally entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with us ([email protected]) or with the Cypriot Data Protection Authority (https://www.dataprotection.gov.cy/dataprotection/dataprotection.nsf/page2e_en/page2e_en?opendocument), Iasonos 1, 1082 Nicosia, Cyprus ([email protected]).
