Event
After a big first day of workshops, ice caves, and Alpine air, the vyking team rolled into day two full of coffee, curiosity, and excitement. The energy was high, and the mountain views at breakfast didn’t hurt either.
The morning session kicked off with vyking’s CEO, Franz Gerhart, stepping up to deliver a fresh challenge: each team was tasked with creating and pitching a bold, innovative idea that vyking could actually develop and bring to market as part of our platform offering.
It wasn’t long before every table turned into a mini think tank. Sketches, sticky notes, and wild (but maybe brilliant?) ideas flew across the room as teams debated, refined, and got laser-focused on their next big concept. By late morning, the ideas were locked in, presentation drafts underway, and spokespersons reluctantly (or enthusiastically) nominated. The real test? Presenting it all to the full group on Day three.
After a morning of mental marathons, it was time to swap whiteboards for adrenaline. The team split off into three epic activity options
🪂 Option 1: Flying Fox XXL Zipline
For the thrill-seekers, the Flying Fox XXL Zipline was the main attraction. Stretching 1,600 meters with speeds hitting up to 130 km/h, it’s one of the longest and fastest ziplines in the world. Suspended up to 140 meters above the valley floor, the ride delivered pure, wind-in-your-face freedom with jaw-dropping views of the surrounding Alps. Screams? Oh, there were plenty.
🎢 Option 2: Flying Coaster
Only a few Vykings dared to take on the Flying Coaster challenge. Strapped in and launched through the forest at speeds of up to 40 km/h, they zipped and twisted their way down the 800-meter track, dropping over 100 meters in vertical descent. It’s fair to say: adrenaline was well and truly delivered.
🧗 Option 3: Gröbming Adventure Park
The most popular option? The Gröbming Adventure Park—aka the largest climbing park in Austria. With 22 high-rope courses, 200+ climbing elements, and over 2,000 meters of tree-top madness, this was no gentle afternoon stroll.
The green, blue, and red-level routes were tackled in teams of two and three, scrambling across sky bridges, navigating wobbly logs, and ziplining between towering trees. One course, known as the “Black Challenge,” loomed high above—unconquered. Maybe next year…
Once safely back on the ground, a few well-earned beers were opened on-site as the crew compared battle scars, scraped elbows, and favorite moments from the afternoon.
The hotel offered a welcome wind-down after a big day in the mountains. The team tucked into a relaxing three-course dinner, complete with drinks, sore legs, and the occasional deep stretch.
Some vykings called it an early night to polish their big idea pitches for Day three. Others settled in to watch the Europa League Final: Spurs vs. Man Utd —let’s just say emotions were running high either way.
Day two delivered the perfect balance of creativity, adrenaline, and camaraderie. Big ideas were born, fears were conquered, and bonds were built high above the forest floor.
Stay tuned for the Day thee recap, where the teams step up to pitch their boldest vyking platform visions yet.
