Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take a leading role in designing, developing, and maintaining the integrations that connect our platform with external providers, APIs, and partner systems. 

In this role, you’ll own integration solutions throughout their lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to optimization and long-term reliability. You’ll work on complex integration challenges involving data exchange, interoperability, authentication, and system resilience while ensuring integrations remain scalable and maintainable as our platform evolves. 

This position combines hands-on backend engineering with technical leadership. You’ll help define integration standards, guide implementation approaches, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with product, platform, security, and external stakeholders. 

Your work will directly influence how our platform connects with third-party services and how effectively those integrations support business growth, operational stability, and customer success. 

Essential Job Tasks

  • Design and architect integrations with third-party APIs, platforms, and external services 

  • Develop and enhance integration solutions supporting business-critical workflows 

  • Define integration patterns, standards, and best practices across the platform 

  • Implement secure authentication and communication mechanisms 

  • Ensure integration reliability through resilient design, error handling, and recovery strategies 

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex integration issues 

  • Collaborate with external vendors on technical requirements, API changes, and integration improvements 

  • Mentor engineers and support technical growth within the integration team 

  • Contribute to integration roadmaps, architectural decisions, and long-term platform evolution 

  • Maintain technical documentation and integration architecture standards 

Skills & Qualifications 

Required 

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience 

  • Significant experience designing and maintaining third-party integrations in production environments 

  • Strong experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, SOAP, and external service integrations 

  • Experience working with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or asynchronous communication patterns 

  • Deep understanding of authentication, API security, and secure communication standards 

  • Experience building scalable and fault-tolerant backend systems 

  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases, caching, and distributed system concepts 

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud environments, and modern development practices 

  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions 

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, iGaming, or other integration-heavy environments is a strong advantage 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience with Redux Toolkit and advanced state management patterns 

  • Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering solutions 

  • Experience building reporting, monitoring, analytics, or operational platforms 

  • Experience working with large-scale SaaS, fintech, iGaming, or platform-based products 

  • Experience contributing to frontend architecture and technical strategy 

  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading frontend initiatives
