We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer Sports/Casino to support us in the development and optimization of backend integration architecture across sportsbook and casino platforms, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable communication with external providers and mission-critical systems.
As a Senior Backend Engineer focused on Sportsbook and Casino Integrations, you will play a key role in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems that ensure seamless communication with external sportsbook and gaming providers.
You will act as a subject matter expert for external system integrations, ensuring secure connectivity, reliability, performance, and compliance. Beyond hands-on development, you will provide technical guidance, mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help define integration standards and best practices. Your work will directly influence platform stability, revenue enablement, user experience, and strategic growth.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices for third-party gaming integrations
Architect scalable, reliable integration flows with high availability, low latency, and resilience under load
Implement secure APIs and services (REST, WebSockets) and own the full integration lifecycle
Act as a technical point of contact for integration partners
Review third-party documentation and participate in technical alignment discussions
Drive performance testing, optimization, and observability across integration services
Identify architectural risks and proactively implement improvements
Define and maintain integration testing strategies and support complex troubleshooting and incident resolution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and contribute to architectural decisions and backend best practices
5+ years of hands-on experience in backend engineering, with strong expertise in designing and maintaining scalable production systems
Strong expertise in Golang (primary language)
additional experience with Java, Node.js, or Rust is a plus
Solid background in software architecture and distributed system design.
Strong experience with integration-focused architectures and patterns, including REST APIs, WebSockets, message queues, and event-driven systems.
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, and scalable caching/session strategies.
Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.
Strong understanding of SQL-based solutions and performance optimization.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.).
Deep understanding of secure communication protocols, authentication models, encryption, and data protection standards.
Proven experience integrating complex third-party systems and external APIs.
Background in iGaming, fintech, or other high-traffic, transactional platform environments is strongly preferred
